Financial Literacy Summer Institute
Graduate course, generously sponsored by Next Gen Personal Finance, is being offered June 26 -30, 2017 at Champlain College. This year’s Institute is exclusively for Vermont high school educators. Teachers who complete the training will have the confidence, skills and curriculum tools to successfully bring financial literacy topics into their classrooms. The Center’s 2011-2013 Summer Institutes have already trained 97 Vermont educators. The program has been recognized by the White House, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the FDIC and by President Obama’s Advisory Council on Financial Capability. The Summer Institute has also been the subject of two studies showing the impact of the instruction (Research Report and Prepped for Success). NGPF Summer Institute Session 2
NGPF is hosting our Summer Institute – 2.5 days of professional development at our Palo Alto, CA office. Here’s what you can expect from our Summer Institute:

- An opportunity to network with eleven other passionate, dedicated, innovative personal finance teachers from around the country
- A school-year commitment of serving as an NGPF Fellow, sharing your expertise with our nationwide community

Next Gen Personal Finance (NGPF), works full-time to curate the best free resources on the web into a “one-stop shop” of cohesive personal finance lessons and activities for all educators. In this session, learn how to harness NGPF’s vast library to spend less time searching for the right materials and more time crafting a lesson customized to your strengths and students’ needs. Be sure to bring your laptop or tablet so you can fully engage in our workshop.
The Alabama ACTE 2017 Summer Professional Development Conference brings together CTE educators from around the state. NGPF will be presenting a session detailing how to use NGPF resources to ‘Ditch the Google Search Process’ and will also be presenting a Keynote address at the Alabama Jump$tart Coalition Luncheon.
