  • List factors that determine auto insurance premiums
  • Determine legal minimum and recommended coverage levels

  • React properly to an accident and successfully file a claim

  • Explain the fundamentals of how health insurance works. 
  • Describe premiums and out-of-pocket expenses (deductibles and copays), and explain their relationship in paying for health coverage.
  • Investigate requirements for health insurance coverage, including changes due to the Affordable Care Act.
  • Identify various types of health insurance coverage and how to access them.
  • Examine a variety of health insurance plans and determine the appropriate provider and plan type for their needs.
