I teach 6 units of study for my year long Personal Finance Class- roughly 3 each semester. I begin the year with a unit on Income and Careers, then I follow with Money Management (taxes, checking and budgets). I end the semester with a unit on Saving and Investing. Second semester I move on to Credit and Debt, followed by Spending Wisely (buying a home/car and general comparative shopping). I end second semester with a unit on Insurance and Risk Management. If I have a good related project, I try to end each unit with one project.
