Does your district offer more than one level of personal finance? For example one that is more basic and one that is more advanced to dig into the topics deeper or on a higher level?

Our district only offers one level of personal finance. Currently our state does not require personal finance, but our school board has made it a policy that every junior must take personal finance in order to graduate. So with that all students that graduate our high school take this one personal finance course.

Personal Finance is a semester long class and is the only option. It is required for graduation and only juniors/seniors can take it. They may also elect to take Economics instead.

Our district offers Business Math through the business department and Adult Living (a personal finance course) through the FCS department. Adult Living is required for graduation and Business Math is accepted as a math credit.

Our school offers Personal Finance for both a semester or a year long course. The semester course is offered in the Business Department and the year long course is offered in the Math Department. Personal Finance is a graduation requirement in our school, students must take one of the above options.

Our district offers only one Personal Finance course for a 1/2 credit. It’s an elective that is taught in the Business Department. Some other elective courses (in FCS and SS) incorporate small pieces/topics of personal finance within their classes.
